Carmel Valley Wedding Planner
Sunny vineyard and ranch weddings, just past the fog line
Carmel Valley is where Monterey County couples go when they want sunshine. Tucked behind the Santa Lucia Mountains, the valley is often clear and warm while the coast is still wrapped in fog. It's full of wineries, ranches and resort estates made for outdoor ceremonies and long dinners under the stars. As a Carmel Valley wedding planner, Chloe knows the venues, the vendors and the winding back roads. Carmel Valley weddings feel relaxed, but they take real planning. Venues are spread out along the valley, rideshare is hard to find after dark, and summer afternoons can get hot. The best days come from getting the details right early: the right ceremony time, shade for guests, and a shuttle plan so everyone gets home safely. We'll help you choose a venue that fits your guest count and style, then handle the timeline, vendors and guest logistics so the whole weekend feels easy. Whether it's a vineyard ceremony for 40 or a full ranch celebration, we'll make sure it runs the way you pictured it.

Planning a Wedding in Carmel Valley
The valley is a little different from the coast. Here's what we tell every couple before they book.
Weather: The valley is regularly 20 degrees or more warmer than the coast and is often sunny when Carmel and Monterey are foggy. That's great for photos, but plan shade and water for afternoon ceremonies in summer. Best time of year: September and October are peak season. Harvest brings golden vines and beautiful evening light, so popular venues book up early. Getting there: Carmel Valley Village is about 15 minutes east of Carmel-by-the-Sea. Venues farther up the valley can be another 20 to 30 minutes inland on winding roads. Shuttles: Rideshare is hard to find in the valley, especially late at night. Plan a shuttle for guests staying on the coast. Where guests stay: Many venues have rooms on site, including Bernardus Lodge, Carmel Valley Ranch, Quail Lodge, Holman Ranch and Stonepine. The rest of your guests can stay in Carmel or Monterey.
