Accessibility Statement

Love in Bloom Events is committed to making loveinbloomevents.com usable by as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnification, voice control, and other assistive technology.

We want anyone planning a wedding to be able to learn about our work and get in touch with us, regardless of how they access the web.

The Standard We're Working Toward

We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. WCAG is the internationally recognized standard for web accessibility, and Level AA is the level most widely referenced in the United States.

Where We Are Right Now

We want to be straightforward about this rather than claim more than we've earned.

A formal accessibility review of this website is currently underway. We began that review on 8/7/26 and it is actively in progress.

We are testing the site systematically, page layout by page layout:

  • Navigating every page using only a keyboard, with no mouse

  • Testing with screen reader software

  • Measuring color contrast against WCAG thresholds

  • Reviewing every image for a meaningful text description

  • Checking that content still works when text is enlarged and on small screens

Because the review is still in progress, we have not yet verified conformance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA, and we expect to find issues we haven't identified yet. As we find them, we log them, fix what we can, and list what we can't below.

We expect to complete the review and the resulting corrections by 9/7/26. We will update this page as that work progresses.

Known Issues

These are limitations we are already aware of. We will expand this list as our review continues, and remove items as we resolve them.

  • The background video on our homepage plays automatically and has no pause or stop control. WCAG requires a way to pause content that moves for more than five seconds. We are working on a solution.

  • Some images may be missing meaningful text descriptions. We are reviewing every image on the site and writing descriptions for them.

  • Some parts of our photo galleries may be difficult to navigate by keyboard. Gallery and lightbox behavior is controlled by our website platform rather than by us, which limits what we can change directly.

Platform Limitations

This website is built on Squarespace. Some elements of the site's underlying code are controlled by Squarespace and cannot be modified by us. Where we identify an accessibility issue that originates in the platform, we will document it here and, where possible, work around it or report it to Squarespace.

Third-Party Content

Our site links to vendor websites, photographer portfolios, and social media platforms. We do not control those sites and cannot guarantee their accessibility.

We will respond within 5 business days. If a fix will take longer than that, we'll tell you what we're doing and when to expect it.

Getting Information Another Way

If something on this site isn't accessible to you, you don't have to wait for us to fix it. Contact us by email or phone and we will provide the information you're looking for in another format, walk you through it directly, or answer your questions about our services personally.

Keeping This Page Current

We review this statement at least every six months, and whenever we make significant changes to the site. The date at the top reflects the most recent review.
